I loved the bison burger. Service was prompt and friendly. Process were similar to what you'd pay at Cactus Club, but it's as good too. The location is ideal.
Great stop for some drinks and bar snacks
Great place. Friendly staff. Place was full but it was a friday night so should have expected this. Staff was quick to find us a table for 4. Maggie G. was great server. Will sure be coming back and recommend others.
Great restaurant, with yummy food and pleasant service. Menu is seasonal and may change between months.
Bison stew was great. The price is reasonable.
Timber is our local pub and offers a decent selection of craft beer and food.
Good bison burger and atmosphere but with high downtown prices. The lamb ribs ($14) had good flavours but the meat was too tough and chewy.
The taste of fries with homestyle ketchup is epic!
We stumbled upon this place by luck. We were looking for a something different but were not able to get in so we decided to go to Timber which was across the street to our original selection and I’m glad we went. The service was great the food was excellent and to make it even better all the appetizers were half price.
Ultra Canadian vibes in this great relaxed small venue in Robson Street. Timber offers a very simple many of pub staples (three burger options) alongside a decent local beer selection in a spacious venue. I like that you seat yourself and that the servers aren't too pushy. It is very chill, if you are looking for a dining experience head elsewhere.
Really cool and hip little joint. Fun wood theme too. Great happy hour deals, tasty i.p.a. and great service too. Wish they had one here at home in sd. Cali.
Absolutely delicious. Wow. I have never eaten such amazing, cheap food before!
Good beers with a unique shape for pints. You can see that in the picture. I also liked the food here. The Montreal smokey meat sandwich was good. It was a little salty but I liked it. I also really liked the burger. The service was also good and fast. The only reason I don't give it a five-star, is because it is not fancy like it's neighbor Forage.
Genuinely nice, friendly staff , ok comfort food. Happy hour food very unique. Must try.Fresh draft beer and nice size tv to watch some sport 👍
A good, well-priced menu with friendly and helpful staff. Yummy salt and pepper chicken wings!
Lively and open bar/restaurant with a good selection of beer and pub fare. The space is large and open with ample seating in both restaurant and bar area. Outdoor seating in warmer weather. Food is ok. Friendly staff but service can be slow at busy times.
Great! This is how wings should be! Fresh, crispy and juicy. Also great beer and friendly service!
the classic Canadian supper was great! beer was delicious. server was very friendly. I'd return here next time i'm in town.
Wasn’t what I was expecting. I had thought they would serve a higher quality meal looking at their prices. I ordered a duck confit hash, but there were no signs of duck, only vegetables and potatoes, which I admit, didn’t taste half bad, but the fact that there were no traces of duck hash ruined it for me. In addition, we waited 45 minutes for a meal, and the place was half full. Overall just a mediocre restaurant and would highly recommend visiting a better restaurant to save time and money.
Great atmosphere, good prices and lots of beer variety. Great pub food too.
This place is fantastic!! Smaller menu full of amazingly flavorful and aromatic things. The table next to us had a salad and the smell was intoxicating!!! The scent fingers kept dragging my attention back to their plates! The staff is great and the decor is cool! I LOVE it Here!!
Huge glasses of beer... I tried the bison roast .. it was great and if very good quality.. a very Canadian place with all local drinks and food event hich is not easy to find in Vancouver.. decently priced ~$22 only for the bison roast platter
What a restaurant/bar! The burgers 🍔 and Montréal sandwiches are heavenly! And the atmosphere + satff, absolutely cordial! Top-notch 👍🏻👍🏻
So fun. The food was amazing and the wait staff excellent. Highly recommended
We ordered the steak and salad, it was not good, have to send it back, meat were sweaty not seared. We are not paying 18 bucks for this.
It's okay, there are far better bars/pubs around in the area and cheaper too. They try too hard to be gourmet and home cooked that it can be a hit or a miss. Chicken Wings were okay and the pork ribs were rather weird. If I'd go back, I'd go back only to drink. They have some pretty good Caesars.
We were there for happy hour. I enjoyed my bison burger, my friends loved the fried curry chicken burgers. The brussel sprouts were also good. The rest of the items were ok. We had wings, chips, poutine, and mac and cheese. Service was ok as well.
Visiting Vancouver. Great cheese curds the rest was average. We sampled the cheese curds, wings, mac and cheese and poutine. We’ve had great poutine in various places in Quebec and hope other spots here in Vancouver but this was not it. The cheese curds were delicious and had a little spice from the jalapeño. The rest was average. The margarita we had was very weak. The environment was airy and light which made it relaxing. Our server was super friendly.
A diner with some local fare (burger, fish, poutine) and good selection of beer. Very casual with friendly service and good lunch special offers.
Timber is a great place to go after work for a drink or to watch a game. The bison burger is amazing! And they're 100% Ocean Wise which is always a plus.
Layback joint with nice draft beers selection and tapas menu. Bison Burger is made to order. (Butcher style) Get your Timber face on!!
Great happy hour. The chips for $3 are addictive and the $5 beers were just right. The butternut squash soup at $3 was hot and flavorful. Service was great.
They have nice drinks, and outdoor patio, yet during any event or busy hours it's hard to get a server.
Excellent craft beer selection. House Chips and deep fried chilli cheese curds were wickedly tasty and a bargain at 1/2 price happy hour. Ambiance is great and very Canadiana. Staff very friendly and helpful. Canadian Shore lunch wasn’t a good value as the portion was really quite small and although the cod was tasty, it was a bit soggy. Overall, very good and looking forward to the next visit
Great atmosphere, we were welcomed immediately. Great prices for craft beer. Lenny was a charming, friendly and personable host. We will absolutely be back.
Had the fried cheese curds and confit duck ... Delicious!
Good place to drink and hangout with friends. But not much kinds of menu. But mac&cheese with bacon was good
What a breath of fresh air this downtown restaurant is. I am new to Vancouver and I am having difficulty to find decent Canadian food to eat. To be honest, I had no idea what Canadian food was until I dined at this restaurant. They don't have a big menu to chose from but I believe what you chose is from Canadian cuisine. They also offer local beers. I will definitely dine at this restaurant again.
Nice setting. Happy hour: drinks are great, food is limited. Friendly, fun and great service.
Servers were really sweet and friendly, food came out really fast. Highly recommend the sweet iced tea it was great. A bit pricey but you get a hearty amount for it.
Bison burger is excellent. Fish and chips and crab roll are very good. Beer selection is small but varied.
Forage was full so we tried this place and was quite amazing. Seats are very spacious, waitress is very friendly. Lots of selection for brunch and everything is tasty. Will visit again for sure.
Awesome food! Order smoked pickled egg. Trust me it's good!
The bison burger is so tender and so flavourful. Truly incredible.
Server was really great. Try the cheese curds! 3:00 is happy hour. We got the shrimp and lobster roll, not worth the price. Pickled eggs where nothing special. Nice atmosphere.
Great spot to catch a beer and a bite. The service was great. Staff was friendly and willing to give details on the different drinks they were making. The food was exceptional and I encourage everyone to try the poutine.
Great bar/restaurant. Love the brunch there!
Wow, the bison burger is delicious and juicy. I had my share of bison burger from other restaurants but Timber perfected it. Everything is made from scratch and in house. The fries is crispy and cooked perfect. Even the ketchup or tomato sauce is good.WHAT THE FRUIT cocktail is good as the fruit puree is made from seasonal fruits. I would order this cocktail instead of the cider. It's not bad but I prefer Strongbow or Somersby cider. The service is great as the waitress is friendly. I appreciated that when she asked how I want my burger cooked (believe I was surprised when she asked me that) and gave chef's recommendation to have the burger cooked "medium." Question for owner/manager: Is the tomato sauce made in house?
Went for dineout Vancouver with a friend and the special $15 three course menu is absolutely AMAZING! We loved it so much that we came back the next day to try the other option, but I would definitely come back again purely for the drinks ( the sussex row cocktail is honestly one of my favorite drinks I've ever had ) and the $5 snacks.. the salad and dressing was positively delicious too!!
Yummy food! I got the duck, bannock, salad, naan bread and brownie from the take home menu on exploretock. All very tasty and the service was great.
